Theatre Education a Tool for Improving Social Skills and Interpersonal Relationships
Play It Out Loud is a European Program under Erasmus + designed to investigate and recommend interventions to 6-7 year olds who want to improve their social skills and / or better manage group activities.
The basic idea of the Project is to use theatrical education courses to mobilize students to create, experiment, learn, play, think, take initiatives, express feelings, adopt more functional attitudes and engage in group activities. Theatrical education provides a safe framework for teachers who recognize the need to enable their students and pupils to harness their potential by developing social skills and improving their interpersonal relationships.
Partners of the Program, apart from the ECTE / European Training Center for Employment (Rethymnon, GREECE) are the University of Humanities and Economics in Lodz, Smashing Times Theater Company (IRELAND), National Drama (UK), and the Counseling Services Center Instalofi Levante SL (SPAIN).

Through its active participation in Play It Out Loud, the European Training Center for Employment (ECTE) strengthens its cooperation with schools in Rethymno, highlighting the importance of theatrical education in primary education and in particular as a tool for empowering students’ social and emotional intelligence teachers with the ultimate goal of developing synergies between all educational bodies taking initiatives in the direction of inclusive education and social cohesion.
